My heritage is dear to me, it makes me what I have become today.

In life it has proven to be a beacon always there to show me the way.

Defined my place in society, has made me face the true reality,

that I can’t escape my roots, and that my roots are what have created me.

Others who share my legacy are my extended family.

This family is there for me, a part of my community.

I have made my children aware of their precious legacy,

for they, after all, are the heirs to carry on for me, you see!
