TERRITORIES is composed by Dan Maske. A lengthy introduction begins this 4-section work. Each acts like a movement, or unique musical “territory,” three are governed by its own theme while the final one uses all themes. This work, commissioned by Thomas Dvorak and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Junior Wind Ensemble, was premiered in October of 1998 for the Wisconsin Music Educators Association Conference in Milwaukee.
