Three English Carols – Sa-Pno – 2 pt

$3.25

Description

THREE ENGLISH CAROLS are arranged by Lana Walter for Two-Part Choir with Piano, optional Flute or Recorder and Percussion. This carol is traditionally sung during the Christmas feast at the Queen’s College, Oxford, as the main dish is brought in. The carol is on record as having been sung as early as 1860. However, since the wild boar was actually extinct in England by the end of the 1600’s due to its frequent use in festive occasions, the carol may in fact be considerably older. This carol is typical of many early carols in which Latin and the vernacular co-exist. Grade: M Duration: 5:00
