THE RISING CATHEDRAL by Robert James Dvorak describes a mysterious mythical cathedral rising slowly from the waters of a lake. An interesting program work that appeals to the imagination of the young musicians. Written in 1943 when the composer was stationed with the USMA Band at West Point, New York.
